A heated debate erupted on ABC’s “The View” over a viral video of Miranda Lambert scolding fans for taking selfies during her Las Vegas concert. Co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg were at odds on the issue. Sunny argued that concertgoers had the right to take selfies, saying, “If I paid $757 for tickets, I’m taking as many selfies as I want.” In contrast, Whoopi stressed the importance of respect, responding, “Give me the respect of watching me while I do my thing, or don’t come.”

The controversy started when Lambert paused her concert to express frustration over fans snapping selfies. Whoopi, siding with Lambert, dramatically left her seat and told Sunny, “Turn on the television, girl.” Adding a humorous twist, Whoopi took a selfie with an audience member, prompting laughter and leading into a commercial break.

Though Lambert faced criticism for the incident, some fans supported her stance. Lindsey, an attendee, defended the singer, saying, “Team @mirandalambert. She owes no one an apology. I saw it all firsthand.”
