Two elderly men are sitting on a park bench, enjoying the afternoon. A fit young woman jogs by in a sports bra and shorts. One of the men flashes a smile as she passes, catching her attention. She stops, walks over, and asks with an edge in her voice, “Why are you grinning at me like that?”
The man, with a warm smile, responds, “Oh, I’m not grinning at you, dear. I’m just thinking how, no matter how tough life gets, seeing a young, happy face in the summer can always brighten an old man’s day.”
Touched, the girl softens and leans down to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. “You’re sweet,” she says with a smile before jogging away.
As she disappears down the path, the man turns to his friend and says with a smirk, “That’s 3-0 for me, your turn now.”
