Suri Cruise, the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, quietly changed her name after turning 18. She dropped her father’s last name and now goes by Suri Noelle, adopting her mother’s middle name, Kate Noelle Holmes.

The name change became public during her performance in the New York musical Head Over Heels, where she was listed under her new name. Suri’s decision marks a significant step toward independence and adulthood.

Recently, Suri was spotted confidently walking through New York City with headphones on, symbolizing her newfound autonomy. Her birth certificate, filed 20 days after her birth on April 18, 2006, originally named her Suri Cruise, but she has now moved away from that identity.

Scientology researcher Tony Ortega commented on her decision, saying, “Suri will now be free to talk if she wants to,” referencing her ability to speak openly about personal matters, including her relationship with her father, which has been strained and marked by long periods of separation.

As Suri continues to mature, she is carving out her own path, supported by her mother, Katie Holmes, who has always prioritized her daughter’s well-being.
