When Jamie Johnson scratched off his North Carolina lottery ticket that he picked up on the best way to work earlier that day, he was observing a six-figure prize.
“I scratched the ticket at work after which advised my co-worker, ‘I simply gained $100,000,’” Johnson, who lives in Hubert, advised lottery officers in a Jan. 27 information launch. “He advised me, ‘If that’s true, lunch is on you.’”
It was true. Johnson purchased a $30 200X The Money ticket at Helpful Mart in Cape Carteret, in accordance with lottery officers. The person mentioned even his spouse didn’t consider him at first when he shared the information.
Johnson took dwelling $71,259 after taxes and plans to do some dwelling repairs and assist pay for his daughter’s faculty tuition, he advised lottery officers.
Hubert is about 130 miles southeast of Raleigh.
