Before his tenure on “The Price is Right,” Barker hosted “Truth or Consequences” from 1956 to 1975. He is remembered for his signature catchphrase, “C’mon down!” and his unwavering advocacy for pet population control, always reminding viewers to “have your pets spayed and neutered.”
According to a news release from Barker’s team, he spent his birthday quietly at home, watching his favorite TV shows. Comedian Drew Carey has taken over as the host of “The Price is Right” since October 2007.
