Legendary actresses Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field recently attended the premiere of their latest movie, “80 For Brady,” at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California. The group of actresses mostly sported black, except for Moreno, who wore an exquisite red shawl fastened with a brooch and a stylish leopard print skirt. The comedy film focuses on four best friends who embark on a wild trip to see Tom Brady play in the 2017 Super Bowl. The actresses also spoke about the flick while at the premiere, with Fonda stating that meeting Brady in the flesh made her “weak” at the knees. The film, which is Brady’s debut feature film as a producer, is set to hit US screens on January 28.
The event was particularly special for 85-year-old Fonda, who revealed that she was in remission following a battle with cancer and was able to stop chemotherapy after undergoing treatment for six months. The actress took to Instagram to share the good news, thanking all those who prayed and sent good thoughts her way. Fonda expressed her confidence that these played a role in her good news, adding that her first four chemo treatments were rather easy, while the last one was rough and lasted two weeks, making it hard to accomplish much.
Fonda also spoke about meeting Brady, describing him as kind and humble, despite being brilliant at what he does. Tomlin also praised the football star, describing him as a good actor, personable, and unassuming. Last year, Brady had praised the women for their roles in the movie, saying that they brought it all to life.
