Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 34 counts of business fraud by a Manhattan grand jury. These charges include his alleged involvement in a hush-money payment scheme and cover-up regarding adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. This historic indictment makes Trump the first former president in US history to be charged with a crime.
However, Trump’s wife, Melania Trump, has reportedly chosen not to support him during the trial. She remains angry with him and wants nothing to do with the trial, choosing instead to focus on her own life at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. According to sources, she is unlikely to attend court proceedings or show any support for her husband during this time.
Melania has expressed to friends that she does not wish to become First Lady again and does not enjoy being in the news. She does not want her name associated with her husband’s political activities and does not view supporting the Republican Party as her job.
Even if Trump were to be found guilty in the trial, it would not prevent him from running for president again. However, it seems that he will have to do so without the support of his wife.
