The cast of John Wick 4 appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show with heavy hearts, as they prepared to air an episode that was shot prior to the passing of Lance Reddick, who played a significant role in the film.
The NBC program’s social media accounts paid tribute to Reddick, who passed away from natural causes on March 17 at the age of 60. The show dedicated the episode to him, urging viewers to join them in remembering and honoring his life.
Reddick, who studied at Yale School of Drama in the 1980s, rose to fame for his portrayal of Cedric Daniels in The Wire.
He made his big-screen debut as Charon, a New York hotel concierge, in the first John Wick movie in 2014, and had roles in other television shows such as Fringe and Bosch. Reddick had appeared in all three John Wick sequels and was in the midst of press interviews for the fourth film when he passed away.
Despite the cast’s heavy hearts, they promoted the fourth John Wick movie, which was released on March 24. The Kelly Clarkson Show and its viewers expressed their condolences and admiration for Reddick’s performances, and the show also highlighted MOMCares, a company that Reddick had founded.
