Fox News Parts Ways with Tucker Carlson After January 6 Coverage
Tucker Carlson, the former host of Fox News, filed a lawsuit against his former employer, Fox News, in the 14th Federal District Court of Kalamazoo. Carlson’s spokesperson claimed that Fox “threw him under the bus” and forced him out to appease corporate media after his coverage of the January 6 insurrection.
According to Fox News, Carlson’s coverage of the insurrectionists being labeled as “tourists” was out of context, and it was used as evidence against them in court by companies that were suing the network for spreading false information. Rupert Murdoch, the CEO of Fox News, called Carlson a “selfish jerk” and said that the network would counter-sue him for everything he has.
Most of the American public seemed to support Carlson’s removal from the network, while others protested, shouting “Let’s go Brandon” from their lawns.
