Renowned German actor Eric Braeden has recently revealed in a Facebook Live session that he is undergoing immunotherapy for cancer.
The 82-year-old actor disclosed that he had been experiencing prostate issues while recovering from knee replacement surgery, which led to a diagnosis of high-grade cancer cells located near his bladder.
Braeden, who won an Emmy for his portrayal of Victor Newman in the CBS soap series The Young and the Restless, had previously undergone UroLift therapy for prostate problems. After the cancer cells were discovered, he underwent surgery to remove them and is now in the middle of a six-week immunotherapy regimen.
Despite his health struggles, Braeden remains optimistic and determined to overcome the disease. He emphasized the importance of listening to one’s body and not overdoing it, as well as supporting loved ones who may be going through a similar experience.
As a survivor, Braeden is grateful for the remarkable advancements in modern cancer treatments and encourages others to spread awareness and hope for a future where all cancer cases can be cured. He is also looking forward to returning to The Young and the Restless, a role he has played since 1980.
Let us keep Eric Braeden in our thoughts and prayers as he continues to fight this battle. If you know someone who has been impacted by cancer, please share this story and spread the word.
