In December 2022, country singer Blake Shelton was faced with the challenge of balancing his role as a role model and friend to his stepsons, while also raising them with his one-year-old wife, Gwen Stefani. Shelton admitted that he didn’t mind being buddies with Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma Rossdale, but felt a sense of responsibility towards them.
Stefani was eager to give Shelton his own child and decided to give IVF another try after taking a break from trying to conceive. After multiple rounds of treatments failed, they chose IVF and Stefani’s doctors advised her to rest her body. Stefani began eating healthier, performing acupuncture, meditating, and other activities to prepare. Finally, in December 2022, it was announced that Stefani, at the age of 53, was pregnant with their fourth child.
Shelton regarded Stefani’s children as if they were his own and was already a devoted stepfather.
The couple was reportedly preparing their homes in Oklahoma and Los Angeles for the arrival of their child. Shelton had already purchased a pink cowgirl hat and boots, and was making nursery items. The musician also ensured Stefani took it easy, rested, and remained calm.
Stefani has reduced her workload, and Shelton has left “The Voice” to devote more time to their family. They are excited about this new chapter in their life and look forward to what’s to come.
